Mobile Kappa Alumni Foundation Scholarship
The Mobile Kappa Alumni Foundation shall award scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 to students attending college during the 2022 – 2023 academic year. We particularly welcome male students from groups historically underrepresented in higher education. Individuals applying for a scholarship must forward one completed application packet to the address below no later than April 8, 2022.

Eligibility: (Attached verification for the following)
- High school students who have satisfactory met all requirements to be a high school graduate
- Must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
- Must have a minimum of a 18 ACT score or a 870 SAT score
- Plan to attend school for entire academic year, beginning in the fall
- Completed 30 hours of active community service within the past 12 calendar month with certified documentation
- Leadership Involvement---office held in school, church, social organization, sports team or documented contribution to the community
Essay : Applicant is required to submit a 500 word essay on one of the following topics.
- If you had the authority to change your school in a positive way, what specific changes would you make and why?
- Describe how you have demonstrated leadership both in school and outside your school environment.
- Who or what has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
- Where do you see yourself in ten (10) years.
- Describe your long and short term goal/s.
Officer Steven Green Memorial Scholarship
The Mobile Kappa Alumni Foundation in conjunction with representatives of the law enforcement community will again facilitate the Officer Steven Green Memorial Scholarship for 2021. Officer Green was a member of the Mobile Police Department and was killed in the line of duty on February 3, 2012. The scholarship is in the amount of $1000.00 to a student attending college during the 2021 – 2022 academic year. Individuals applying for this scholarship must forward one completed application packet to the address below no later than April 8, 2022.
