Mobile Alumni ChapterPolemarch’s Message

Welcome to the website of the Mobile (AL) Alumni Chapter (MAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. As the 16th Polemarch of this great Chapter, I am honored to serve both the members of this chapter and our community during the 2018 – 2019 fraternal year.

As this chapter moves past our 68th year of existence we are proud to have prominent members of the community that have achieved in every field of Human endeavors amongst our ranks: Doctors, Attorneys, Judges, Engineers, Politicians, Educators, Entrepreneurs and Military Veterans are just a few. We will remain committed to our core objectives of unity, patriotism and honor, always looking to improve and achieve in everything we do.

Our chapter has had a significant impact on the youth of our community through our Foundation and Guide Right Program. We will continue to be committed to these programs ensuring our youth have excellent guidance, mentoring and scholarship. We are dedicated to leave a legacy of young men that are ready to assume their place as leaders; thus ensuring for a brighter future.

Currently, our chapter has one of the largest group of Senior Kappas and 50 Year Kappas in the Southern Province. Giving us a great foundation for leadership and knowledge of our great and noble fraternity. The MAC is the home to the 23rd Grand Polemarch, Past Editor of the Kappa Alpha Psi Journal, Past Southern Province Polemarch, Southern Province Keeper of Records and Southern Province Keeper of Exchequer and Field Investigator. Members of MAC have also received the prestigious Elder Watson Diggs award and the Guy Lewis Grant award.

As you move up to the next level, consider there will be obstacles to conquer, but as a leader and Kappa Man, we’re assured you will achieve success.   “One Kappa!”

The members of the Mobile Alumni Chapter give our warm compliments to one of our own. Brother Jason M. Jones has been elected as the Southern Province Senior Vice Polemarch. Brother Jones will fill the unexpired term due to the appointment of the 11th Southern Province Polemarch.

It is with great pleasure that we recognize the efforts of Mobile Alumni Chapter members for their hard work and effort to establish the Eta Nu Colony at Spring Hill College. This a significant and historic accomplishment and shows a great commitment from the University and the citizens of Mobile to continue to develop young leaders. We acknowledge our appreciated member Brother D.J. Larry (HN Spring 2000) for being named by the Southern Province Polemarch as the Chapter Advisor. Your dedication, enthusiasm and insight will be inspiring to the future men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity!

We recognize another milestone as Eta Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has been reestablished on the campus of the University of South Alabama. After a seven-year hiatus and considerable hard work from the Mobile Alumni Polemarch and Membership Training Academy (MTA) Committee the chapter is on a stable foundation. We congratulate Brother Kendrick Wells (HN Fall 2001) for being named by the Southern Province Polemarch as the Chapter Advisor. We know you will be a true inspiration to these young men and this fantastic chapter!
